High Mountain Lao Cong Rougui Phoenix Oolong, (Dan Cong)

Within the Phoenix Dan Cong tea series, there is also a variety known as Rougui Xiang, "Cinnamon Fragrance." Its tea infusion possesses a flavor reminiscent of cinnamon, thus earning its name.

The tea leaves are grown-up and look neat, with a dark brown color. The tea smells nice and strong, a bit like being in the mountains.

This tea undergoes a two-step roasting process, which accounts for its faint lingering fire aroma. Thanks to the tea farmers' unique charcoal roasting technique, the tea infusion displays a bright, golden hue.

Upon entry, the tea liquor stimulates the taste buds and maintains its presence within the mouth. When tasted with the tip of the tongue, a subtle pricking sensation, termed "astringency," is perceptible. The taste is refreshing, with a robust penetration. Amidst its robust dominance, there's a delicate undertone of honey-like sweetness that preserves a graceful strength. It induces salivation, and the aftertaste gradually emerges, akin to the sweetness of spring water—naturally refreshing.

As the number of steeping increases, this tea's characteristics gradually unfold. The aftertaste becomes increasingly rich, the moistening sensation intensifies, and it lingers steadfastly, showcasing remarkable resilience to multiple infusions. The distinct aromatic qualities of this tea make it an excellent subject for tea enthusiasts to delve into and explore more deeply.
